For Adult Cancer Patients

Qualifications for Selection of Wish Recipients


Recipient Criteria
1.
The individual must be 18 years or older.
2.
The individual must be managing cancer.
3.
The individual must be physically and mentally competent to participate in and enjoy the wish.
4.
The individual must be unable to financially afford to obtain the wish with his/her own resources. (This does not mean destitute)
5.
The wish recipients must be patients of the 8 Hospitals Happiness Unlimited is affiliated with: Clara Maass Medical Center, Morristown Memorial Hospital, Mountainside Hospital, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Overlook Hospital, Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, Somerset Medical Center, and Union Hospital.
6.
The individual must receive clearance from the appropriate medical doctor to travel.
7.
Wishes must be approved by the Happiness Unlimited President or Vice President before any funds can be dispersed. No wish may be granted if it deviates from the financial or geographic guidelines set by the wish committee.
8.
No person may receive more than one wish.
9.
All arrangements must be made by the wish manager or representative of Happiness Unlimited.

Restrictions
1.
Travel is restricted within the continental United States. Exceptions must be approved by the President or Vice President of Happiness Unlimited.
2.
Happiness Unlimited is not responsible for any car rentals. Cash will be provided in consideration for travel.
3.
Wishes are limited to a predetermined budget.
4.
No material goods are given as a wish.
